Our Practice in Fort Wayne

Dr. Christina Mummert received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000 from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. She spent her externship year at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, Duane Waters Hospital in Jackson, Michigan and Henry Ford Medical Centers in Troy and West Bloomfield, Michigan.
During this final year, she was 1 of only 6 in her class selected for special training in ophthalmic pharmacology and contact lens solution research and development at the Alcon headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, she received two scholarships for her commitment and dedication to vision awareness from Alcon and The American Foundation for Vision Awareness.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Indiana Optometric Association, the Northeast Indiana Optometric Society and the Michigan College of Optometry Alumni Association (past president).
She began her career in Grand Rapids, Michigan and after four years her family was transferred to Fort Wayne.
The idea of Envision Eye Care began when Dr. Mummert received numerous requests for eye exams from friends and neighbors. The requests continued to grow over the years as she volunteered in her children’s schools, helped with vision screenings and became more involved with her church. In order to grant those requests, she decided to open an office on the southwest side of Fort Wayne where she is excited to be able to provide the best quality of care and services to this great community.

Dr. MacKayla Wolfe received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2024 from the
Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. She spent her externship year at
Michiana Eye Center in Mishawaka, Indiana, Jackie Walorski VA Clinic in Mishawaka,
IN and MyEyeDr in Westfield, IN.
She served on the board for College of Optometrists in Vision Development,
Neuro-Ophthalmic Rehabilitation Association and American Association of
Optometrists. Throughout her four years of optometry school she was also involved in
assisting with numerous vision screenings with DePaul University Athletics as well as
serving as a technician in the pediatric department at Illinois College of Optometry.
She is originally from LaOtto, IN and moved to Muncie, IN to obtain her
undergraduate degree and then later moved to Chicago, Illinois to obtain her doctorate.
She decided to move back to the Fort Wayne area to begin her career.

Monica brings over 25 years of customer service experience to our practice. She is the first friendly face you will see when you are welcomed at Envision Eye Care. She loves to meet our new patients and catch up on the latest news with our existing patients. Come in and meet our warm and welcoming front desk coordinator!

Leonora joined Envision Eye Care in 2015, bringing over 10 years of optical experience to our dynamic practice.

Her motivation at our office is to find eyeglasses with the perfect look, fit, and feel for our patients. Her dedication to exceptional service for our patients and her years of experience greatly contribute to our team. Come in and let our wonderful optician help you with your eyewear needs.

Heather joined Envision Eye Care in 2015 and brings 5 years of financial experience and over 10 years of customer service experience. She handles our insurance claims, questions, and billing at the office, working closely with insurance companies on filed claims.

Holly started her career in optometry in 2006. Her knowledge, experience, and drive make her a wonderful contribution to our team. She truly cares about our patients and their eye care needs.

Deb joined Envision Eye Care’s team in 2019. She brings over 40 years of customer service experience and over 6 years of experience in optometry.

She handles our insurance claims and billing at the office. She works closely with insurance companies on filed claims. Please feel free to give Deb a call with any questions regarding insurance or your account!

Dakota joined our practice in March 2021. She brings over 10 years of customer service and patient care experience. She is a versatile employee. She provides technician care, makes optical and frame selections, and orders all our patients’ contacts.

Paula just joined our team and brought 30 years of experience as an American Board of Opticianry (ABOC) optician. She has the knowledge to help you pick stylish, high-quality frames and lenses for all your optical needs.

Renee brought 20 years of optical and practice management experience to our team. She is trained on how to pick out the perfect lenses and frames for your optical needs. She is also trained to properly measure your frames so you can love the glasses you wear.

Sarah has just joined our team, bringing with her 25 years of customer service and management experience.
